Semarang – The Master’s Degree Program in Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), has once again launched the UNDIP Global Classroom (UGC) 2026 program. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen educational internationalization and expand global learning access for the academic community.

For this year’s inaugural series, UGC featured Prof. Teruna Siahaan, an expert from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at The University of Kansas, USA, as the keynote speaker.
The event was held virtually via the Zoom Meeting platform over two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 19–20, 2026. On the first day, Prof. Teruna delivered a lecture titled “Research Design and Scientific Integrity”. The sessions continued on the second day, focusing on the theme of “Scientific Writing”.

In his presentation, Prof. Teruna emphasized the critical importance of systematic research design and the application of scientific integrity principles in all academic activities. Furthermore, he shared practical tips on how to write clear, structured scientific papers that meet international standards.
This public lecture is expected to broaden the horizons of students, lecturers, and researchers in designing high-quality research, while fostering an academic culture that upholds ethics and scientific honesty.
Through the UGC program, UNDIP remains fully committed to bringing in international experts to share knowledge and experience. The presence of Prof. Teruna Siahaan offered a valuable opportunity for participants to gain global perspectives on research methodology and best practices in maintaining the credibility of research outcomes.
Beyond being a platform for knowledge transfer, this program serves as a strategic avenue to strengthen international academic networks and elevate the quality of education and research within UNDIP. By hosting speakers from top-tier world universities, UGC aims to inspire the generation of excellent, innovative, and high-integrity research.
